Song: The Ghost
Death During Life

I got the house cause my woman didn’t want it.
Until she left, I didn’t know that it was haunted
After a week, when I missed her most
That’s when I got acquainted with the ghost.
He appeared to me late one night
Looking lonely and deathly white.
The ghost was a suicide. His end was bloody.
For the last 6 weeks he’s been my best buddy.
We spend our nights playing solitaire.
He wins all the time, but I don’t care.
It’s nice to know I have a friend
Who will stick by me until the bitter end.
The ghost and I
Scaring little children.
I just want to die.
He’s wishing he was livin’.
Last Saturday night the ghost and I got drinking.
He couldn’t stop talking, I couldn’t stop thinking.
He said he wished he was alive again,
How warm his woman felt, way back then.
To shut him up, I proposed a toast.
“To distilled spirits”, I told the ghost.
The ghost and I have problems that won’t give.
I want my woman back, he wants to live.
“You waste it until you lose it, that’s what hurts the most.
You can bet your life on that.” I told the ghost.
He turned and looked at me and said,
“People scare me since I’ve been dead.”
